Guggenheim Partners, a diversified financial services firm, today announced that it has appointed Henry R. Silverman as a Senior Advisor and Vice Chairman of its investment management business, effective March 16, 2012. Mr. Silverman will be based in the firm’s New York office and will play an instrumental role in advising Guggenheim’s investment management business on its strategic development and growth initiatives. Mr. Silverman joins Guggenheim from Apollo Global Management, where he served as a Director and Vice Chairman of the Board and Member of the Executive Committee, and as its Chief Operating Officer from 2009 to 2011.
